If you ask ten different people what the borders of Greenwich Village are, you will get ten different answers. However, most agree that the northern border is 14th St. and the southern border is Houston St. For the purposes of identifying the mass-transit available throughout the Village, other borders are defined as follows:

PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) rail service is provided by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Subway and Bus service is provided by MTA New York City Transit.
